Boozers Claim Another Victory

There's not much to say about this performance, other than the fact that the whole lineup contributed throughout the game. Every Boozer scored at least one run, and every batter save one had an RBI. The offense scored at least one run in every inning.
After the come-from-behind heroics of the previous game this affair was boring by comparison. But that's just the way manager Doug Armstrong likes 'em. And once again the Boozer pitching and defense was able to shut down the potent GD bats for much of the game as the offense built up it's impressive lead. The only time GD threatened was in the 6th inning when they put up eight runs, mostly on solid hits but occasionally aided by ill-advised throws (you know who you are). But by then the Boozers had a secure lead. And after holding GD scoreless in their last at-bat the Boozers also had their 3rd straight win and gave them a sweep of the season series over arch-rival GD.
The Boozers' record now stands at 8 - 1, still two games up on the suprising Isotopes. GD's record fell to 4 - 6, 4½ games back of the league leading Boozers.
