Chief Breaks Out Whuppin' Stick, But Boozers Still Fall
![Brett Holmes](./images/bretth.jpg)
Muzi jumped on the Boozers for four runs in the first, but the Boozers answered with seven runs of their own in the bottom of the inning. But Muzi tied the game in the second inning and took the lead for good in the third with a 7 run outburst. They added 9 more runs over the next 4 innings, and the Boozers never seriously threatened that lead.
Once again sloppy Boozer fielding and poor pitching put the home team behind the eight-ball. The heroics of aging veteran Holmes and the return of slugger Paul Picard (3-for-4, 4 runs), who hit a towering home run and an equally impressive ground rule triple, wasn't enough to carry the Boozer offense. Picard missed hitting for the cycle by only a double.
The loss dropped the Boozers to 5 - 3 on the season while Muzi improved to 4 - 4 after also beating first place GD in their previous game.
